Dr. David Johnson is a fellowship-trained and board-certified pain management physician focused on optimizing function and comfort through pain reduction while prioritizing patient safety. He is a comprehensive pain management specialist experienced in treating musculoskeletal pain, nerve pain, migraines, and various pain syndromes, like fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome. He performs interventional pain techniques including epidural steroid injections, discography, radiofrequency nerve ablation for the spine and large joints, joint and nerve injections, BOTOX® and sphenopalatine ganglion injections for migraines, and BOTOX for dystonia. He also employs minimally invasive surgical procedures, like sacroiliac joint fixation, spinal cord stimulation, and lumbar decompression.

Dr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree in business at Temple University in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA, where he majored in Risk Management and Insurance and Human Capital Management. He would continue to medical school at Temple University before completing an internal medicine internship with Thomas Jefferson Hospital followed by residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship in pain management at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and is board-certified in pain management by The American Board of Anesthesiology and board-certified in anesthesiology by The American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, reading, and listening to music.
